I welcome invitations to speak to groups about my books. People tell me that they see the world a little differently after hearing me speak. Researching Where are the Fellows showed me how we are rediscovering our sense of community, and talking about Down to Earth is an opportunity to take a fresh look at our evolving connection to the natural world and to take a fresh look at our changing climate.

George Ewart Evans lived for a time on Needham Market High Street, and his wife was headmistress at the local primary school where I was a pupil in 1961. This talk will focus on ‘Where are the Fwllows who Cut the Hay’, but will invariably cover much of what Evans wrote, and I remember, about Needham Market.
