I’ve been writing business books for more than 15 years and have watched the publishing industry become increasingly focused on books likely to sell in large numbers. I’ve been lucky to have been published by some of the biggest imprints and seen my books sell worldwide. But I’ve also seen many promising writers make the mistake of self-publishing with no clear route to market.

It’s a tough market and not easy to navigate on your own, with no experience. There are plenty of people out there who will take your money and print your book. But too few who will work with you to test the market, then produce, publish and help market your book.

And so I’ve launched the Turnpike Press to fill the gap I can see in the market. As a non-fiction writer, I’ll only be publishing the non-fiction work of others. Moreover I’ll be focusing on books with the potential to change attitudes and behaviours. I want to help those striving to make the world a better place.
