Robert Ashton and Carol BundockThe transition from grant dependence to income generation is tough to make. For some it is an opportunity to take a fresh look at what their organisation does and where it adds value. For others it’s a call to arms, challenging funder decisions and campaigning for a fairer deal.

I work with organisations that recognise the need to adapt and evolve. My starting point can be to lead a Board debate, to discuss the options and agree strategy and goals. Then it’s practical work with management team, front line staff and often service users to identify the real opportunities. The product of this process is
a business plan.

Robert AshtonFinally, I will work with the team to turn the plan into reality. This is not arms-length consultancy but ‘sleeves rolled up’ practical support. With my help your team will be confident and practiced at promoting and selling your products and services.

Ironically, often your best customers will be the organisations that used to fund you. They may have stopped block funding service provision but will still be buying what you do!
