Whatever your views on ‘Big Society’, the outlook is unlikely to
change; reduced Government spending, increasing personalisation of
health, education and social services and a greater emphasis on creating
sustainable communities.
Robert works with Government, local authorities, charities, schools
and business, helping all overcome the barriers they face to creating
the change they deep down want to see. Prejudice, perception, tradition
and fear all get in the way. So too do the inevitable cultural barriers
that create chasms between sectors.
The balance of power has also
shifted, with the need to create and nurture ‘adult:adult’ negotiation
in place of ‘parent:child’ service commissioning.
As an apolitical independent Robert can broker deals, mediate in
disputes, defuse the tension and design solutions that give every
participant the result and recognition they deserve.
Because Robert works outside organisations, he can quickly change what happens within organisations.
