About Robert
He is inquisitive, intuitive and at times intellectual. He explores paradoxes, exposes myths and challenges the status quo. Some consider him controversial others find him empathic and sensitive. He treads paths others choose to avoid, learning, reflecting and sharing his interpretation and experience.  His campaigning led to the establishment of Norfolk Community Foundation, an organisation that now gives grants totalling more than £1m pa. He was a Trustee for seven years and is now a Vice Patron. He is also a Patron of Hertfordshire Action on Disability. In 2012 Robert started the Robert Ashton Organisation Ltd, a social enterprise that connects newly self-employed people with valuable skills with organisations needing help. Robert lives in a converted barn in rural Norfolk  with his wife Belinda. They have two grown up children, one a city trader, the other an epidemiologist working in East Africa.
