Helping Budding Authors

I’ve been fortunate enough to have been published by Prentice Hall, Hamlyn and Hodder & Stoughton. I have also recently self-published a book and launched a publishing social enterprise.

Paradoxically it’s both harder and easier to get published today than perhaps at any time in the past 20 years. It’s hard because publishing is a tough marketplace. It’s easy because there are hordes of vanity publishers happy to take your money and sell you back your own book, printed and bound.

Success as an author should mean more to you than simply having 200 copies of your unedited book in your garage. Success is about using your experience and knowledge to challenge, inform and enrich the lives of others.

To do that you need someone to:

Challenge you to be really objective
Point you in the right direction to find an agent or publisher
Steer you away from the sharks and charlatans
Tell you the truth if actually, your idea is unlikely to fly

Initial chat	Free
2 hour blitz meeting	£200 +vat
Critique a book pitch	£100 + vat
Ongoing support	As agreed
