As a charity grows it is very easy to get pulled off course and distracted from your original mission. This is particularly true of those successful at winning and delivering Government funded contracts.
It makes sense at times to seek new sources of income, perhaps from social enterprise, private clients or corporate partnership. You can’t change this overnight, but slowly but surely, taking one short step at a time, you’d be surprised what can be achieved.
People usually invite me to help them when they:
- Need help selling change to their Trustees (I often arrange and facilitate Board ‘away days’ to stretch minds and explore new ideas)
- Want to become less reliant on statutory funders
- Have an idea for a social enterprise and need help to make it happen
- Are about to have their funding axed and need help fast!
