New book on 80 steps to success for social businesses

80 Enterprise Essentials front cover

A new book, published to coincide with the Voice 11 national social enterprise gathering at the O2 Arena in London on 30th March, condenses the author's 30-year experience down to 80 lessons to save others time and money.

The book - 80 Enterprise Essentials - shares this learning in eight sections: Planning to succeed; What does it take?; Getting started; Communication matters; Figure it out; Customer cares; Survival skills; The wider world. The advice is written for new and existing entrepreneurs, particularly those in business to change the world, and others advising them. It assumes that most have the passion, but not unlimited funds, for turning their ideas into action.

Author Chris Lee believes that success costs time more than money: "After 30 years in marketing and fundraising, I've concluded that there are three essential ingredients for entrepreneurial success - simplification, innovation and communication."

80 Enterprise Essentials
shows that effective business processes need not be complicated. The ability to think differently is the best route to new solutions to enduring problems, and good communication - internally and externally - is essential.

Following its London launch at Voice 11, 80 Enterprise Essentials will be available - £10.00 including post and packing - from Social Enterprise East of England www.seee.co.uk
