Practical Marketing Programme - 3rd Sector

A 'hands on' six month open programme that combines monthly group workshop days with individual mentoring and support. Each participant works on their own organisation, planning, preparing, doing and reviewing marketing activity to achieve defined organisational goals.

Format:
  • Initial two hour fact finding visit to your organisation;
  • Workshop 1 - Commerce without Compromise: Setting goals;
  • Mentored work - troubleshoot problems and gain quick wins;
  • Workshop 2 - Planning to Succeed: A simple marketing plan;
  • Mentored work - getting buy in to your plan;
  • Workshop 3 - Customers and Clients: Who's important and why
  • Mentored work - customer/client survey;
  • Workshop 4 - Products and Services: What will people buy?
  • Mentored work - gain customer feedback to your new 'products';
  • Workshop 5 - Publicity and Promotion: Exploring what works;
  • Mentored work - getting what you do in the press;
  • Workshop 6 - Next Steps and Graduation: Maintaining momentum.

Also included are:
  • E-mentoring between each workshop;
  • Sandwich lunch, coffee, tea and snacks on each workshop day;
  • Signed copies of Robert's books relevant to the programme.

Each programme has between three and five participants, each a senior manager/leader within a charity or social enterprise. Clearly you will not find a competing organisation in your group!

Price on application, workshops will be arranged to take place monthly at Turnpike Farm. The training room overlooks open fields, has a large whiteboard and plenty of coffee.

Who should attend?

You're facing some challenges and need to become better at marketing. You want to generate income without compromising your vision, mission and values. You don't want loads of theory, but practical help to make sense of your marketplace, develop new sources of income, and create new opportunities for your community of interest. You'll enjoy being part of a small group working on common issues. The programme will evolve to meet your needs.
