Robert Ashton was part of the initial project group, and subsequently a trustee, that brought Norfolk Community Foundation from a good idea to an established charity. 

Robert is an activist who is committed to bringing people together to take new ideas and make them happen.  He is very energetic and committed to making a difference.  Although not part of the third sector, Robert is able to bring his entrepreneurial skills to the sector with great effect. 

His enthusiasm, ideas and his willingness to get his hands dirty have been instrumental in the success of the Foundation.  As with all creative thinking, not all ideas are feasible, but Robert’s creative thinking produces substantial benefits and creates a cultural of entrepreneurialism and thinking out of the box that is vital to any dynamic organisation.
