Why now is the right time to start doing things differently

Why now is the right time
We all deserve a better life. It doesn’t matter where you’re starting from, or where you’re going. It’s the distance you plan to travel that will make you happier and more successful.

There is no right age, no right time, no right way. It’s all about you deciding to take a little more control over your life and steer it in the direction you want. Here are some things that might suggest that now is the right time:

10 ways to know that now is the right time to make a start

1.     You’re reading this – Something has prompted you to pick up this book and start reading. Whatever it was, it’s influenced you enough to do something different. Don’t stop now, keep going!
2.     The book was a gift – If someone has given you this book, it means they can see you have the potential to grow. Accept their challenge and do something with it.
3.     It feels right – Sometimes you just know it’s the right thing to do, but can’t quite put your finger on the reason why. If this is you, trust your instinct and just do it.
4.     Too busy – Telling yourself that you’re too busy is a good way to delay anything. Make one of your first goals to free up some time and start there.
5.     Too happy – If you’ve already realised your Utopian dream, then maybe you could become even happier. You’re starting from a position of strength so why wait? Make life even better.
6.     Already tried once – If you’ve tried this before, now’s the time to try again. Work out what went wrong before and avoid the same pitfalls. Did you try to do too much too soon? Try again.
7.     I’m too young – If you’re young, even still at school, there are ways you can make life better. What’s more the sooner you take control of your life the more choices you’ll have later.
8.     I’m too old – If you feel that opportunity has largely passed you by and now it’s too late, think again. Remember the focus here on small changes. Make a few and see what happens.
9.     My children fill my life – Perhaps you also need to encourage them to set some life goals as well. Make life planning a family affair. Changing your own life might also make life better for your children.
10.I’ve no money – You don’t need wealth to be happy and successful. The most rewarding experiences you can have are totally free. You first goal might be to get your finances in better shape.
