Five reasons for using a good book keeper

Five reasons for using a good book keeper

Unless you’re already skilled at book keeping you are probably best advised to delegate doing the books to someone else. Here’s five good reasons:

  1. Someone else is checking your figures
  2. Invoicing is not delayed because you are too busy
  3. Book keepers save you time and hassle
  4. Accountants bills are lower if a book keeper’s done the basics
  5. You have someone else who can chase overdue payments

KATHRINE

Planning to start a family, Kathrine wanted a job where she could work at home and fit her hours around the needs of a baby. Networking with local businesses soon led to introductions to people who needed help with their accounts. She spent time with each of them, getting to know the business.

Since her son was born, she has been able to charge 30 hrs of her time a week to an established portfolio of clients. Clients range from limited companies employing several people to self employed consultants. She plans her workload around her clients and her family. When her son is older, she will recruit more clients and build a team.

Top tip: Find yourself someone like Kathrine to do your books for you
