I consider myself a social entrepreneur. I act as a catalyst for positive, sustainable change helping people become more enterprising and entrepreneurial. Money alone no longer motivates me. I can afford to pick and choose the work I take on. I promise not to take your money unless confident I can deliver a return on your investment. I work with business starters, social entrepreneurs, charities and public sector organisations. What they have in common is the realisation that sustainable, positive change can best be achieved through enterprise. Entrepreneurship is an attitude, not a skill. You have strong moral values and a vision for what you want to create. You may be frustrated with the lack of relevant support you’ve been able to find. You probably need help to develop new ways to generate revenue, or simply need a hand to find your niche and get started. Over the past 20 years I’ve written nine books and seen them translated into more than 15 languages. I have also been personally involved with four business start-ups, as well as offering practical support to countless others making that same journey. It has to be said that I do not see the world quite as others do. I’m often described as ‘unconventional, highly creative and at times, slightly annoying.’ I am also very open, trusting and willing to share the pain you may feel as you venture further along the enterprise path. It’s an emotional experience where passion is as important as the need to be both practical and pragmatic. I’m also a popular speaker, with strong views on entrepreneurship and a special interest in social enterprise. The current convergence of environmental concern, consumer rebellion against corporate brands and a period of dramatic public spending cuts all set the scene for a major shift in the way we do business. In my view, the time is fast approaching when every successful business will be far more socially aware and active. It’s an exciting time. Now please spend a few minutes exploring my website.
